Published on the occasion of the 1991 exhibition at the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Charleroi, curated by Laurent Busine. Bringing together historical and contemporary figures including Saint Francis of Assisi, Henri Evenepoel, Jean-Henri Fabre, On Kawara, Giovanni Anselmo, Giorgio Morandi, Thierry De Cordier, Hanne Darboven, Keiichi Tahara, Michel François and Wolfgang Laib, the exhibition explored different forms of attention, observation and contemplation. The catalogue documents the works through colour and black-and-white reproductions, with texts and biographical material devoted to each participant.
