MEREL HART

Merel Hart was born in France and raised there by Dutch parents. From an early age, she developed a strong interest in the arts, spending hours drawing and painting as a child. As a young adult, she returned to France to pursue her studies at Paris Nanterre University, where she earned two Master’s degrees.

Before dedicating herself fully to the arts, she worked in the publishing industry and later served as a teaching assistant at the University of Pennsylvania. For the past 25 years, she has worked as a photographer and art director, running a studio based in Brussels. She has collaborated with advertising agencies and clients in the fashion industry. Alongside her commissioned work, she maintains a more personal artistic practice, which has been exhibited in Belgium and internationally.
