Portrait of the Absent – 365 presents the complete series of 365 self-portraits developed over the course of one year. Each day, Jildevik composed an outfit from his personal archive of fashion pieces and found objects, photographing it as a portrait without the body.

The archive brings together early Maison Martin Margiela, Helmut Lang, Gucci, Ann Demeulemeester and Raf Simons alongside flea-market finds and anonymous garments collected over many years.

The publication, designed by Elsa Mueller, brings together the entire body of work in a single volume, documenting an ongoing exploration of memory, attachment and absence.
