Early printing of this 19th-century Japanese color woodblock print “pillow book,” graphically depicting erotic material, complete with 12 exceptional double-page full-color woodblock prints (each 33 by 24 cm/a double page) by celebrated Meiji era artist Tomioka Eisen.

This shunga series is an artfully illustrated mix of tender moments and graphic depictions of lovers in private. This series is undoubtedly Eisen's finest and most desirable shunga series.
