This book fits in the middle between a book for children and a book for scientists.  These pages illustrates examples of plastic materials from their invention more than 100 years ago to the incredibly advanced, intelligent materials that are (unfortunately?) in common use right now. Each page describes a specific plastic and contains outstanding colour images and details on the material with a technical table of information: how the product or material is made; what its key properties are; where to get further information; typical uses of that material. Each page also includes a quick reference index to access relevant information on other page.
