Jef Verheyen - Venster op het oneindige - Hannibal 2024

Published in 2024 to accompany the exhibition Jef Verheyen: Window on Infinity, this monograph examines the Belgian painter’s pursuit of light, colour and spatial perception. From his early experiments with monochrome to his later explorations of luminous colour fields, Verheyen sought to move beyond the material surface of painting and evoke an experience of infinity. Featuring extensive reproductions of his work alongside essays and archival material, the publication offers an overview of a central figure in post-war Belgian abstraction and his dialogue with international avant-garde movements.
