Original 1960 Brazilian mono pressing on Odeon, by Canhoto e Seu Regional. A fine document of Brazilian choro and regional music, featuring Canhoto’s intricate cavaquinho playing across a programme of choro, samba, maxixe and sorongo. The twelve-track selection includes compositions by Pixinguinha, Benedito Lacerda, Dino 7 Cordas, Meira and Carlos Poyares. An early recording from one of the important regional groups of the period.
