Nan Goldin - The Devil's Playground - Phaidon 2003

The Devil’s Playground presents a major collection of photographs by Nan Goldin, spanning intimate portraits of relationships, friendship and identity, and chronicling the passage of time.
The book brings together works from series including Still on Earth (1997–2001), 57 Days (2000) and Elements (1995–2003), many previously unpublished. Sequenced by Goldin herself in a diary-like structure, the photographs are accompanied by texts, poems and lyrics by writers including Nick Cave, Cookie Mueller and Richard Price.
Published in 2003, The Devil’s Playground was Goldin’s first major monograph since 1996 and remains one of the most comprehensive publications on her work.
