Elysian Fields (+CD) - Centre Pompidou & Purple Institute 2000
The exhibition Elysian Fields, an invitation to the Purple Institute has presented presents the contemporary creative work of the independent label Elysian Fields, which grew out of the magazine Purple created in 1992. The project, in which some fifty creators of all generations and disciplines take part, gaves the sound environment a major role. The soundtrack was conceived by various musical groups, and to echo the sonic dimension of the exhibition, Spectacles vivants is offering a series of exceptional concerts. Curated by Olivier Zahm and Elein Fleiss, with contributions by Claude Lévêque, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Vija Celmins, Gerhard Richter, Georges Tony Stoll, Jean-Luc Vilmouth, Martine Aballéa, Ange Leccia, Jorge Pardo, Laetitia Benat.
