Brian Eno - Here comes the warm jets - Island Records UK 1974
Original first UK pressing on Island Records (ILPS 9268), 1974. Brian Eno’s debut solo album combines art rock, glam, experimental production and oblique pop songwriting. Featuring contributions from Robert Fripp, Phil Manzanera, John Wetton and others, the record pairs Eno’s treated vocals and synthesizers with sharply contrasting guitar textures. Produced by Eno, it includes “Needles in the Camel’s Eye”, “Baby’s on Fire” and “On Some Faraway Beach”, establishing the distinctive approach that would inform his later ambient work.
