Mickael Marman - Having a party (hope you will be there) - Damien & The Love Guru 2021

Having a party (hope you will be there) is an exhibition catalogue that documents the group show that took place from 1 July – 7 August 2021. Organised by Mickael Marman and Damien & The Love Guru at CFALive in Milan, the title takes its name from a 2008 Lee Scratch Perry lyric and brings together a group of artists from the black European diaspora in consideration of their mutual ability to exploit the elastic tensions of the postcolonial-neoliberal condition through the interpretation and refusal of inheritance. Cataloging renditions in relation to objects, behaviours, traumas and debts, the publication includes original contributions, documentation of the exhibition and an introduction by Olamiju Fajemisin. Having a party (hope you will be there) was the last exhibition and publication Lee Scratch Perry contributed to before sadly passing away in 2021.
With the work of Jim C. Nedd, Josian M.H.Pozi, Isabella Costabile, Shaun Motsi, Mickael Marina, Lee Scratch Perry, Deborah Joyce Holman.
