Berlinde De Bruyckere - In Flanders Fields - Flanders Fields Museum 2000

The work In Flanders Fields was purchased by the Flemish Community and resides at the M HKA in Antwerp. Berlinde De Bruyckere depicted five horse bodies, a polyester shell covered with real horse skin. The horses' bodies are as if laid out for sacrifice.
