Original 1984 Belgian pressing on Igloo Records, Scan Lines is the soundtrack to the multimedia performance Scan Lines, or the Paradise of the Artificial Eye, created by Plan K and directed by Frédéric Flamand. A striking collaboration between Belgian electronic composer and saxophonist John Van Rymenant and American composer and violinist Michael Galasso, combining synthesizers, sequencers, electronic effects, saxophone, tapes and electric violin. Recorded live at Performance Space 122 in New York, the four-part work sits between experimental electronics, minimalism and contemporary composition.
