The images in this punk artist's book by Israel Lund are photocopies of paintings. Each painting is screen printing ink on raw canvas and measure 8.5x11". A silk screen and squeegee were used to create the marks, yet the end result does not originate from a source image, as is the traditional process in screen printing. Instead an open rectangle measuring 8.5x11" is burned into the screen and the ink is manipulated within that using the squeegee.
Introduced by a text by Nicholas Bullen "Resisting Language (The Silenced Voice)". In January 2006, curator and artist Mark Bearsley invited Nicholas Bullen founding member of the band Napalm Death, to present a lecture about Napalm's development of the 'death growl'. The death growl, also known as growled vocals, harsh vocals, death vocals, pig vocals, throating, death grunts, unclean vocals, Cookie Monster vocals, or simply growling, is a vocalization style usually employed by vocalists of the death metal music genre.
