Le Bon Maxime

Maxime Le Bon - Zilch - Infinitif 2024

Maxime Le Bon collects and stores lots of documents he finds on the street. Most of them are printed or cut out from newspapers, magazines, advertising, errata, and fragments of texts from abandoned books. To this gathering process, Le Bon adds his improvised photographs and drawings Later, Le Bon rearranges and slips his heterogeneous collection into punched pockets and binders, where he stores them indefinitely. Unstable and constantly changing, his unpredictable archive grows with the years. It sediments layers of experiences and constitutes this extensive deposit from which all sorts of fragmentary narratives and accidental arrangements can emerge.
The publication ZILCH brings together a selection of A4 photocopies made by the artist from this archive.
