Taken in the summer of 1999 the portraits are of non professional models street cast by Raf Simons wearing his Spring Summer 2000 collection. Each boy is portrayed with a fixed gaze and a dose of realism that David Sims has become renowned for.
Initially conceived as a work in progress this collaboration became a highly regarded body of work in its own right, bridging the worlds of fashion, photography and art.
