Marcel Mariën - Le radeau de la mémoire - Edition Pirate parce que Complète 1988
When Le radeau de la mémoire was released in 1983, it was banned from sale in Belgium by René Magritte's widow. In it, Marcel Mariën claimed that Magritte had become a forger and, between 1942 and 1946, produced a large number of drawings and paintings attributed to Picasso, Braque and Chirico, among others. This first complete edition brings together four works by Marcel Mariën (1920-1993): Le radeau de la mémoire (published in February and April 1983, but expanded by a few paragraphs and notes) Le radeau au radoub (published in April 1983 in 100 copies, containing the 28 chapters and fragments excluded from the original edition, followed by documents and leaflets relating to the legal proceedings initiated simultaneously in Brussels and Paris, as well as press extracts reproduced in facsimile) Le jumeau d'Amérique (published in booklet form in November 1984) and Il ne manquait plus que ça.
