Karel Verhoeven - Strip - MER. Books 2002
Karel Verhoeven (15 November 1982 - 23 September 2021) is a Belgian visual artist and designer who gradually started working spatially, audiovisually and performatively from graphic media. His work deals with the relationship between the constructed environment and social interactions. With references to architecture and music, his work is always an invitation to people at play. Starting from a fixed framework - the grid of the daily newspaper comic strip - he made daily line drawings during the corona pandemic. He gave the series a title: STRIP.
