Born in 1967 in Lebanon, Walid Raad is an artist. His work includes writings, photography projects, videos, performances... all organised around a reflection on the possible representations of a country at war. Using the example of Lebanon as a way to represent, remember and make sense of war, Walid Raad questions the nature of collective and individual memories and their role in forming accepted historical fact.
