Numerous illustrations come from the previously unopened artist's archive and have been compiled in this form for the first time by the editor and daughter of the artist Marie-Puck Broodthaers. In a completely new approach to "décor" and objects, artist's books, films, graphics, and writings, Marcel Broodthaers embodied during his twelve creative years from 1964 to 1976 that post-war artist for whom every form of art could be placed in the service of new contexts of ideas.
