Butsuzōzui by Hidenobu Tosa - circa 1700

A rare, 18th-century Japanese woodblock print of Butsuzōzui or Illustrated Compendium of Buddhist Images, which was first published in 1690 and is a landmark Japanese dictionary of Buddhist iconography. This rare and old edition contains hundreds of illustrations of different buddhas and buddha forms as well as instruments used in Buddhist ceremonies.
