Jakob Tuggener - Venedig 1954 - Edition buschö & Neue Galerie 6 2010
Six days in September 1954. Fifty years later, these photos show us a city we think we know: Venezia, Venedig, Venice, Venise. Through his revered painters eyes, Jakob Tuggener photographed a society that has now disappeared - not only because of the progress of the exodus onto terra ferma, but also because these kinds of people no longer exist. Looking at their faces that have disappeared without a trace is like a journey through time, out of time.
