Hans-Peter Feldmann - Bücher - Neues Museum Weserburg Bremen 1999

There is almost no comment to be made about the books, about the work, of Hans-Peter Feldmann. His artistic approach does not call for comment. Since the 1960s, he has been representing people, objects and scenes. He produces or borrows
images. On rare occasions, he enhances these images with colour, he recreates objects. But the fact that everything within it seems familiar to us removes his work from the realms of ordinary artistic and historical analyses.
For this publication, for example, he has chosen to make a book about his books, with the text and the bibliography in a separate annex. This annex will probably disappear from most copies, and only his work, his book, will survive.
