David Lynch - The air is on fire - Xavier Barral 2007

The Air is on Fire is the first reference work presenting the diversity of David Lynch's creative fields. It offers a journey through more than 400 unpublished works (photos, drawings, paintings) that David Lynch, in an interview with Kristine McKenna (in English on CD), comments in their order of appearance in the book. Exploring the links between art and cinema in the history of 20th century art and more particularly in the Lynchian corpus, a rich interview between Boris Groys and Andrei Ujica sheds theoretical light on the construction of the work of this great filmmaker, painter, sculptor, photographer.
