Walter Leblanc (1932-1986), one of the first representatives of kinetic and optical art in the mid-20th century, does not enjoy the fame he deserves. This comprehensive monograph, edited by Francesca Pola, is the first created with a wide international audience in mind.
It includes important material never before published and, in addition to Leblanc's art, offers insight into the ZERO artist group, with whom Leblanc was in close contact from the 1950s onward. Walter Leblanc is based on extensive international research into the artist's work. In addition to some 150 images of his paintings and sculptures and similar work, the book includes historical photographs and documents, texts by him, an iconographic survey of works in museums and a bio-bibliographical appendix.
