Paul Gees - Sculptures and drawings - 1990's
Nice lot of two Paul Gees booklets: rare Sculptures and drawings published by Gallery S 65, 1989 and Sculpturen from Centrum voor Ruimtelijke Kunst in 1997.
Born in 1949, Aalst, Paul Gees lives and works in Schoonaarde. By training, Paul Gees is an interior architect, graduated from Sint-Lukas in Brussels, where he taught 'Form Studies' from 1980 to 1992 and 'Expression and Mixed Media' in the architecture department at Sint-Lucas Gent from 1992 to 2009. He liked to be close to the students to 'build the future' with them too. All these years and more specifically since 1975, Paul Gees has been active as a visual artist. Over the past 45 years, he has built up a 'solid' oeuvre in which stone, wood and metal form the common thread of his sculptures.
