Frédérick Gautier - FCK* Paysages concrets - Actes Sud 2022
Author:
Texts by Marie Godfrain
Book:
From the hold of a barge designed by Le Corbusier to Niemeyer's PCF headquarters and the bed of the Los Angeles River, Frédérick Gautier is inspired by urban landscapes to create everyday ceramic objects.
He delivers a version that is always rough, imperfect and rough, close to the aesthetics of concrete, thanks to a material that he has developed.
For this itinerant artist/craftsman, who has had a career as an artistic director in the film industry and then studied landscape design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage de Versailles, each residency is a total art project.
Published on the occasion of the exhibition FCK - Paysages concrets, from 7 May to 8 July 2022 in Lille and Roubaix (France).
