The original title for this book was Sarah Morris' Guide to Los Angeles, referring to her film about and from a place properly named Los Angeles. But this book is not merely a guide to the film, and the film is not only about a place named Los Angeles. The way Morris assembles the individual pieces (be these shots or texts) invites viewers to become part of the process. This book was published by Galerie Aurel Scheibler in 2005, with an introduction by Cay Sophie Rabinowitz, and contents by Isabelle Graw, Gaby Wood, Ania Siwanowicz, David Daniel and Philippe Parreno.
