Nicholas Nixon - The Brown Sisters: Forty Years - The Museum of Modern Art 2014
From 1975 to 2014, The Museum of Modern Art, New York City, has collected the Brown Sisters photographs taken by Nicholas Nixon year by year. When his first solo exhibition opened, July 22, 1976, he had only recently decided to turn his portraits of wife and sisters into a series. He was 26 years old at this time, and started to perpetuate this tradition for forty years.
