Belgian painter Michaël Borremans has always made drawings. And since the mid-1990s, a concentrated, relatively small number of complex drawings have accumulated, hallmarked by their seductive aesthetics and provocative contents. 
Published on the occasion of the itinerant exhibition held at Kunstmuseum Basel, S.M.A.K. Gent and The Cleveland Museum of Art in 2005 this trilingual catalogue was the first presentation of the artist's drawing oeuvre.
