Giuseppe Penone - des veines, au ciel, ouvertes - MACS Grand-Hornu 2011

Poetically entitled Des veines, au ciel, ouvertes, in reference to the anatomy of the trees debarked by the artist as well as to the geology of the former coal mines of the Grand-Hornu, this book is the catalog of an important monographic exhibition of Penone at the MAC Grand-Hornu held in 2011.
Conceived as a folder, it includes two notebooks and a leporello reproduction of the monumental work Matrice di Linfa. (a longitudinal section of a tree into which a reddish vegetal resin has been poured).
