Manfred Pernice "Die dritte Dimension" is a monograph, a catalogue and an artist's book in one. The result is a monographic catalogue that deals with the artist's central works, with focus on drawings and sketches, direct preliminary drawings of a sculpture or installation, supplementary components of an object. These drawings, in their meaning and diversity, have so far only been received to a limited extent. Planned as a narrow catalogue for the exhibition at Portikus in Frankfurt in 2000, the book turned out to be a comprehensive monograph of the artist.
