Daido Moriyama, Raymond Pettibon, Ryan McGinley... - Other Scenes - Nieves 2007

Other Scenes was published on the occasion of a exhibition at Roberts & Tilton, Los Angeles in 2007. Curator Aaron Rose has presented an eclectic group of emerging and established artists all of whom share disturbing yet romantic visions, such as Rita Ackermann, Gusmano Cesaretti, Daniel Higgs, Becca Mann, Ryan McGinley, Faido Moriyama, Jockum Nordström, Raymond Pettibon, and Gee Vaucher.
In these artist's works, a discreet form of protest exists; a desire to find love amongst the ruins, beauty in the shadows.
This catalogue includes selected images from works from 1974 to the end of the 2000s, including many works created specifically for this exhibition. Some of which have been pulled from archives that have not been accessed for very long time.
