Marcel Broodthaers - Cahiers des musées royaux des beaux-arts de Belgique/Snoeck 2010
Published following an exhibition at the Musée d'art moderne de Bruxelles devoted to the "Broodthaers collection" assembled by the Musées royaux des beaux-arts de Belgique, this issue of Cahiers offers, in addition to an appreciable iconographic ensemble, a precise and contrasting analysis of a group of pieces whose referential complexity, distribution and place in Broodthaers' oeuvre are the subject of in-depth commentary. With three essays by Cathleen Chaffee (the relationship between museum and domestic space), Birgit Pelzer (language and fiction in Marcel Broodthaers' work), Virginie Devillez (strategic use of print and publishing).
