Vernissage des expositions J. Charlier, On Kawara 7.1.1975 - Palais des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles 1975

In January 1975, J. Charlier has an exhibition (curated by Yves Gevaert), parallel with On Kawara, at the Palais de Beaux-Arts in Brussels. At the exhibition, he presents his "Photographies de Vernissages (Photographs of Openings)", photos he had taken at private viewings and parties which were attended by the then Belgian and international art crowd. 

This catalog released at the end of Jacques Charlier & On Kawara exhibition, consists of a series of photos, taken by Nicole Forsbach, Philippe de Gobert, Lili Dujourie, of the opening of the exhibition, and creates, as such, a mise en abîme: spectators looking at themselves as spectators of works in which spectators look at works and each other.
